Babe Formula, a pioneer in paraben-free, sulfate-free, silicone-free, and cruelty-free hair solutions, was facing a major challenge. Despite their strong market presence, their TikTok ad campaigns aimed at helping distributors convert sales were falling short. After spending over ₱38,000, they saw only 0.25 ROAS. They were stuck without a clear strategy to assist their distributors in generating sales. The primary goal was to develop a robust strategy to improve their ROAS and significantly boost GMV and sales through effective TikTok ads.
We started by collaborating closely with the Babe Formula team to create a targeted strategy focused on their best-performing distributors and resellers. We leveraged Spark Ads, which utilize real TikTok account posts, ensuring that all engagement metrics from boosted videos contributed to organic posts, thereby increasing visibility and interaction. By using the CEO’s content and top-performing influencer content, we maximized the impact of our ads.
Our approach involved a deep dive and A/B testing to identify the most engaging content formats. We found that “Before and After” transformations, “Problem – Solution” scenarios, and highlighting hair issues in the first frame resonated strongly with the audience.
Additionally, we used “How to…” guides and User-Generated Content (UGC) such as product demos, slideshows, and listicles to create relatable and compelling ads. This strategic focus on distributor success was a unique angle, as most marketing agencies typically apply such strategies only to direct retail campaigns.
The outcomes were extraordinary. In just five months, Babe Formula achieved ₱8,155,394.16 in GMV and a 17.76 ROAS, with over 22,000 purchases. Distributors experienced a substantial increase in sales, and the marketing director was amazed at the speed and scale of the results. This success demonstrated the effectiveness of our unique strategy focused on distributor success, setting a new benchmark for future campaigns.
